QuintoLabs Content Security 2.0 goes to Beta

Today beta version of the upcoming release of QuintoLabs Content Security 2.0 has been made public. Major improvement in this version is policy based web filtering. It is now possible to have different levels of strictness for web filtering adjusted for different user groups. The application now is more suitable for deployments in SMB and educational institutions.

Configuration module has been changed significantly, it now lives in /etc/opt as defined in the Linux File System Standard. CPU and RAM requirements did not change, allowing easy and functional deployments in Virtual Appliances and low end hardware. The Virtual Appliance “Tiny Web Filtering Proxy” will also be ready in a couple of days.

We are in desperate need of your feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact us asap if you think there is an error or bug in the program. Version of Beta 2 binaries are changed each time when we find a bug so download them from the http://quintolabs.com/qlicap_download.php directly.
